Dingli Madagascar 132kV Transmission Line PC Project is in operation now

The Malagasy authorities are inaugurating the Farahantsana hydroelectric power station. The hydroelectric power station is invested by an big Italy green power development company. It feeds its production into Madagascar's national electricity grid, provides 6% of Madagascar’s installed capacity. The facility, equipped with four Francis turbines with a combined capacity of 28 MW, located in the commune of Mahitsy in the Analamanga region, was inaugurated on Thursday 1 December 2022 by the President of the Malagasy Republic, Andry Rajoelina.

“This new infrastructure marks a new stage in Madagascar’s journey towards emergence through energy transition and the country’s production capacity,” said President Andry Rajoelina at the inauguration ceremony.

Henan Dingli supplied and constructed the 132kV transmission line which connect the power station from Farahantsana to Tana sud substation in Antananarivo, with length 38km, 160 steel towers.
